Safety, compliance and documentation
What we hold ourselves to, and what we can evidence for your audit.
Safety is supervised, not assumed.
A haulage company shares the road with everyone else on it. These are the practices a load passes through before, during and after a run.
Pre-departure checks
Every unit is checked before it leaves the yard — tyres, brakes, lights and load securing. A unit that fails a check does not go out on the promise of being looked at later.
Driver conduct
Conduct on the road is supervised, not assumed. A truck carries the company name at every junction, and the standard our drivers hold is a public safety matter rather than an internal one.
Load securing
Loads are secured to the cargo and the unit, not to habit — strapped, chained or sheeted according to what is on the bed. Securing is checked before departure as part of the pre-departure check.
Defect reporting
Drivers report defects at the end of a run. A reported defect takes the unit out of the schedule until it is cleared, which is why reporting one is treated as doing the job properly rather than as causing a problem.
Driver training
Driver standards are set by a transport manager who spent over thirty years in the work. Training continues on the job, and the same discipline feeds the road safety awareness work the company runs in its host communities.
Maintained per unit, recorded per unit.
Compliance on a fleet is not a single certificate. It is held, renewed and evidenced unit by unit.
Roadworthiness
Roadworthiness is maintained per unit and renewed on schedule. A unit whose certification has lapsed does not carry a load.
Insurance
Vehicle insurance is maintained per unit. The cover applying to a specific movement is confirmed with operations at quotation stage.
Licensing
Licensing is maintained for the fleet and for the drivers who operate it, and records are kept per unit and per driver.
Maintenance records
Servicing runs to interval and is tracked per unit, so a unit’s maintenance history is a record rather than a recollection.
Trade, tax and accounting.
Trade and export
The commodity trading division operates in strict compliance with Ghana’s export regulations and established trade ethics. Documentation is prepared ahead of movement, not after it. Where a transaction requires a licence or permit we do not hold, we say so at the outset rather than proceeding.
Financial and regulatory
Finance maintains compliance with tax and accounting regulations, and the company’s governance framework requires decisions to be consistent with regulatory and industry standards. Cost control, budgeting and financial reporting sit with the Finance and Accounts division under the same management line as operations.
What you receive on every job.
- Written quote
- Priced on the agreed factors, issued before the job runs
- Delivery documentation
- Completed and signed at both ends of the movement
- Delivery records
- Kept so deliveries can be reconciled against invoices
- Invoice
- Against the quote, or against the agreed rate schedule
Delivery records exist so that you can reconcile what arrived against what you were invoiced for, without asking us to reconstruct it after the fact.
Requesting compliance documents.
If your procurement process needs documentation before you can raise a purchase order, contact business development with the list. We will tell you what we can evidence and what we cannot, before you commit to anything.
A haulage partner you can plan around.
Send the load details and operations will come back with pricing and available dates.
