Tipper trucks and an excavator at work on a site in Greater Accra

Equipment leasing and fleet management

Tippers, trailers, excavators and heavy plant, kept working by preventive maintenance.

Overview

Projects stall when equipment does. Sigman Enterprise leases tipper trucks, trailers, excavators and heavy-duty machinery to construction and mining operations that need capacity without capital outlay.

Fleet management services are available to clients who own equipment but want it professionally maintained, dispatched and monitored.

Preventive maintenance and logistics optimisation are the point of the service — uptime is the deliverable.

Capabilities

What this division actually does.

Tipper truck and trailer leasing

Tippers and trailers leased to site for the duration of a programme, without capital outlay.

Excavators and heavy-duty machinery

Excavators and heavy plant made available to construction and mining operations.

Fleet management services

Client-owned equipment maintained, dispatched and monitored by our transport team.

Preventive maintenance programmes

Servicing scheduled against running hours so failures are caught before they stop a site.

Scope

What's included, and what isn't.

Being explicit about the second column is the point. It is cheaper for both of us to disagree now than on the day.

What’s included

  • Tippers, trailers, excavators and heavy plant
  • Inspection and condition record on release and on return
  • Preventive maintenance scheduled by hours and kilometres
  • Operator supplied under a wet or managed lease
  • Delivery of the unit to site
  • Fleet management response to a breakdown under a managed lease

What’s not

  • Fuel, unless the lease type agreed includes it
  • Damage caused by misuse or by operating outside the rated capacity
  • Site supervision or project management
  • Consumables and site-specific attachments
Lease options

Three ways to take a unit.

What changes between them is who provides the operator, who buys the fuel and who carries the maintenance obligation.

Dry lease

Equipment only

You take the unit and provide the operator and the fuel. Suits contractors who already have crews and want capacity rather than a service.

Wet lease

Equipment with operator

The unit arrives with someone who knows it. Suits sites that need the capability for a defined period without hiring for it.

Managed

Equipment, operator and maintenance

The unit, the operator and the maintenance obligation all sit with us. Downtime becomes our problem to solve, which is the point of leasing from an operator rather than a broker.

Maintenance

Downtime is our problem.

Preventive maintenance is scheduled by hours and kilometres, not by breakdown. Units are inspected before release and on return. Downtime on a leased unit is our problem to solve, which is the point of leasing from an operator rather than a broker.

Before you enquire

What we need from you.

Send these six things and the first reply can be a quote rather than a question.

Pickup and delivery addresses

Where the load starts and where it has to end up, as precisely as you can give it.

Cargo description

What it is, how it is packaged, and whether it is palletised, bagged, loose or containerised.

Approximate weight or volume

An estimate is enough. If you are not sure, tell us what you do know and we will work from that.

Preferred dates

The window you need it moved in, and whether the date is fixed or flexible.

Site access restrictions

Height or weight limits, soft ground, narrow approaches, or anything that affects turnaround.

Special handling or documentation

Securing requirements, permits, or paperwork the destination expects on arrival.
