Logistics and supply chain management
Nationwide road haulage, freight management and outsourced warehousing.
Overview
This is the core of the business. Sigman Enterprise moves bulk materials and industrial goods across Ghana for manufacturers, agricultural businesses and import-export operations, priced on distance, weight and cargo type.
Freight management covers route optimisation and transport scheduling, so capacity is planned against a client's production or delivery calendar rather than booked reactively.
For clients who would rather not run logistics in-house, we take on outsourced logistics and warehouse management, reporting into their operations team.

What's included, and what isn't.
Being explicit about the second column is the point. It is cheaper for both of us to disagree now than on the day.
What’s included
- Road haulage nationwide and into the West African sub-region
- Equipment matched to the cargo — flatbed, tipper, lowbed or trailer
- Route planning, scheduling and dispatch
- Load securing and pre-departure checks
- Status updates from operations on request
- Delivery records you can reconcile against invoices
- Warehousing and outsourced transport management by arrangement
What’s not
- Customs brokerage and clearing agency work
- Freight forwarding by air or sea
- Loading and offloading equipment at your site
- Cargo insurance arranged on your behalf
Contract haulage or trip work.
Neither is better. They suit different volumes, and they are priced differently, so it is worth knowing which one you are asking for.
Contract haulage
- Suits
- Regular, predictable volume that runs to a production or delivery calendar.
- Priced
- An agreed rate schedule, set against expected volume and reviewed periodically.
- You get
- Dedicated capacity planned around your calendar, and priority on availability.
Trip work
- Suits
- One-off movements, seasonal peaks, or volume too irregular to commit to.
- Priced
- Per movement, quoted on distance, weight, cargo type and route conditions.
- You get
- No commitment either way, subject to fleet availability on the dates you need.
Hand us the whole function.
For clients who would rather not run transport in-house, we take on the function end to end — scheduling, dispatch, delivery and warehouse management — reporting into your operations team on your reporting cycle.
How this is priced.
- Distance
- Point-to-point kilometres and return leg
- Weight / volume
- Load against the unit's rated capacity
- Cargo type
- Handling, securing and equipment required
- Route conditions
- Access, road condition and turnaround time
- Frequency
- One-off trip, scheduled runs or contract volume
We quote in writing. For repeat volume we agree a rate schedule so you are not renegotiating every load.
What we need from you.
Send these six things and the first reply can be a quote rather than a question.
Pickup and delivery addresses
Where the load starts and where it has to end up, as precisely as you can give it.
Cargo description
What it is, how it is packaged, and whether it is palletised, bagged, loose or containerised.
Approximate weight or volume
An estimate is enough. If you are not sure, tell us what you do know and we will work from that.
Preferred dates
The window you need it moved in, and whether the date is fixed or flexible.
Site access restrictions
Height or weight limits, soft ground, narrow approaches, or anything that affects turnaround.
Special handling or documentation
Securing requirements, permits, or paperwork the destination expects on arrival.
Send the load as early as you can and operations will confirm the earliest available window against current fleet commitments. Contract clients hold reserved capacity, so their lead time is shorter.
Yes, into the West African sub-region, subject to the documentation required for the route.
Real-time fleet monitoring is in development as part of the company’s digital logistics programme. Today, operations gives you status updates on request.
Liability is set out in the terms agreed for the job or the contract, and confirmed in writing at quotation stage.
